Coordinator, Maintenance - Mechanics

 

Pay Scale:  Administration - Business

 

Pay Grade:  3

 

Days:  226

 

Primary Purpose:

Coordinate the installation and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing and electrical equipment. Ensure safe, efficient operation of equipment, respond to operational problems and plan equipment maintenance, upgrade and replacement to enhance the comfort and safety of the students and staff.

 

Qualification Guidelines:

 

Education/Certifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Completion of appropriate trade school (desired)

Accredited four-year college degree (preferred)

Texas Refrigerant & Equipment Certification

Valid Texas driver's license

 

Experience:

Five years' construction project management and engineering experience

 

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of planning and construction principles

Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design and installation and repair

Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Knowledge of building codes and inspection of certification process

Ability to read blueprints and schematics

Ability to conduct on-site inspections of all district facilities

Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

HVAC Supervisor, Electrician Supervisor, Plumber Supervisor, Journeyman HVAC, A/C Filter Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic
