Primary Purpose:
To work and assist the Victoria Fine Arts Center Manager or Victoria Representative on duty with ongoing events, rentals and school functions as well as daily upkeep and maintenance of the VISD Fine Arts Center.
Qualification Guidelines:
Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Some experience working with theatrical productions preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent customer service skills
Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance and safety procedures Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building/grounds maintenance
Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physical ability to perform duties (Lifting up to 40 pounds required)
Professional appearance and demeanor
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Assist in the supervision of and the loading and unloading of scenery and stage equipment as required by incoming performing companies
Mental/Physical/Environmental Demands:
Tools/Equipment Used: Copier, Personal Computer, Typewriter, Audiovisual Equipment, and Hand & Power Tools
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Responsible for setting the stage with orchestra shells, chairs, music stands or other equipment.
2. Responsible for assisting with seating for events.
3. Responsible for selling tickets in the box office and working concession stand.
4. Responsible for assisting with technical operations such as lights, sound, and rigging.
5. Responsible for sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the building.
6. Responsible for setup, maintenance and striking of entertainment related elements including staging, video, sound and lighting components.
7. Responsible for ensuring that props are affixed properly.
8. Responsible for assisting with the loading and unloading of props and materials from trucks.
9. Responsible for disassembling scenery and other set pieces, ensuring their proper storage.
10. Responsible for opening and closing curtains.

11. Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
12. Participate in any VFAC meetings and special events as assigned.
13. Perform other duties as assigned
