Description

Primary Purpose:

To assist in preparing the instructional computing environment for the upcoming academic year.

 

Salary: $10.25/hour

 

Qualifications:

16 years of age and above

 

Special Knowledge / Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to accurately count inventory, edit, and pull orders.

Ability to operate a computer.

Ability to move, assemble, and replace parts on computer carts.

Ability to move large number of computer/Chromebook devices.

Ability to lift 25 pounds plus.

 

Experience:

None

 

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

 

1. Deliver computers and equipment to designated locations.

2. Unpackage, label, and inventory computers/Chromebooks.

3. Test and verify working condition of computers/Chromebooks

4. Assemble charging stations/carts.

5. Test and repair charging stations/carts

6. Perform physical inventory of warehouse stock items.

7. Load District vehicles; deliver supplies and equipment to campuses and departments.

8. Pick-up equipment to be dispositioned and deliver to a central location.

9. Maintain safe working conditions throughout department/warehouse area.

10. Receive and take responsibility for supplies and equipment; compare actual quantities versus packing slip quantities; note damage and variances.

11. Unload and load delivery trucks by hand or using pallet jack.

12. Use tools including battery-powered tools.

13. Follow established safety and procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting, climbing, etc.

14. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

 

Equipment Used:

Computer, ladder, dolly, pallet jack, box knife, hand tools (small).

 

Mental Demands/ Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside on slippery or uneven walking surfaces and ladders. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
